Programme Description

This programme provides course participants with a strong foundation in pedagogy assessment, inclusive practices and educational theory. It aims to provide those within or wishing to join the education sector with the necessary tools and competences to teach effectively whilst fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all learners. Within this programme, learners will also develop their understanding of marketing, financial accounts, human resources management, entrepreneurship, purchasing and production.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to be in possession of:

  1. Three (3) Ordinary Levels at MQF Level 3 (minimum Grade C or 5)  in Maltese, English Language and Mathematics awarded by MATSEC or an equivalent examination body recognised by the Institute for Education.

AND

A minimum ofoneof the following:

  1. An awarded MATSEC Certificate or equivalent (MQF Level 4) including a Grade C or better in Economics, Marketing or Accounts at Advanced Level.
  2. An MQF Level 4 vocational qualification with a minimum 120 ECTS in Business Studies, Marketing, Commerce, Accounts Finance, or Economics or a cognate area deemed relevant by the Institute for Education.
  3. Three subjects at Advanced Level (MQF Level 4) including a grade C or better in Economics, Marketing or Accounts and another subject, and at least in Grade D in the third subject.
  4. Two subjects at Advanced Level (MQF Level 4) at grade C or better including Economics, Marketing or Accounts and three intermediate subjects with a minimum grade D.
